What Is Juvederm Voluma XC?

Juvederm Voluma XC is a specialized hyaluronic acid (HA) filler formulated to restore deep volume to the cheeks and midface, counteracting sagging and creating gentle lift. “XC” indicates it includes lidocaine for comfort during injection.

Because Voluma is thicker and more robust than many fillers, it’s ideal for areas requiring structural support — yet it integrates smoothly with your tissue, moving with your expressions.

The Difference Between Juvederm Voluma XC and Juvederm Ultra XC

Juvederm Voluma XC is different than Juvederm Ultra XC and works on a different area of the face. Juvederm Ultra XC is a lighter compound which is perfect for smoothing out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds and smile lines), underneath the eyes (tear trough deformities), and for lip enhancement. The results of Juvederm Ultra XC will last around 1 year.

Juvederm Voluma XC, on the other hand, has been specifically created to replace lost facial volume in the cheeks, cheekbones and chin. It was developed to be smoother than other hyaluronic acid facial fillers, making it easier to inject during the filler treatment and resulting in a smooth, natural look and feel. What to Expect During Treatment & Recovery

Consultation & Planning
Dr. Zadeh carefully analyzes your midface, cheekbones, and facial proportions to design a personalized volumizing plan. We also review medical history, expectations, and comfort options.

Treatment Session
Precise injections are made using cannulas or needles. You may feel pressure, but discomfort is usually minimal thanks to the lidocaine formulation.

Immediately After

- Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may appear — usually subsiding within 1–3 days
- Most patients resume normal activities right away
- Final settling of the filler contour often becomes visible over the next 2 weeks
