This is a question we get asked a lot during Ultherapy consultations with our clients throughout the Los Angeles area. The answer, however, is not a straightforward one. The Ultherapy treatment is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. The results, and the duration of how long they will last, varies from person to person.
Ultherapy results do not happen overnight. It is a gradual process which can take up to 6 months for optimal skin rejuvenation. We see clients who are 9-12 months since their Ultherapy treatments and are still seeing increased collagen production.
This also applies to how long the results last. What we do know for sure is that you can’t stop the aging process. There is no skin tightening treatment where the results last forever. Even a surgical facelift is not permanent. The results will last as long as it takes for your body to continue aging. For some people that may be 6 months, for others it may be 3 years. It is common for people to return for additional treatments once they notice that the visible signs of aging are slowly returning. Other procedures such as Botox, Fillers, Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Facials, etc. can also help to prolong and optimize Ultherapy results.
Ultherapy, like other proven non-surgical cosmetic treatments, really does work. After Ultherapy you will always look better than if you had done nothing at all!
