For many years now Botox has been the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the world. The number of men and women receiving Botox injections to smooth wrinkles continues to increase each year. With this increase in popularity there has also been a rapid rise in the number of Botox providers. In the Greater Los Angeles area alone, a Botox injector can be found on almost every street corner. Botox injections are now being done by Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons, General Surgeons, ENT Doctors, Dermatologists, Gynecologists, Family Practice Physicians, Nurses, and Spa Aestheticians to name a few. Not all Botox providers have the same level of experience and skill. In fact, most of the lesser experienced injectors attempt to attract their customers with low prices. This often leads to complications, unpleasant cosmetic results, and most importantly patient dissatisfaction. This is why it is important to choose your Botox injector wisely!

When performed by an experienced injector such as Dr. Zadeh, Botox has several benefits:

  • It is highly effective. When done right you can get a significant reduction in wrinkles which will last anywhere from 3-4 months.
  • There is very little discomfort. Dr. Zadeh uses several techniques which provide maximum comfort during the injection process.
  • There is no downtime.
  • Risk of side effects is extremely low.
  • Results tend to last longer as the Botox is not overdiluted.

That being said, we are seeing a lot of clients who received Botox treatments at other places and have been extremely unhappy with their results.

So, why is that?

To put it simply, each individual is unique in the amount and distribution of Botox that they require, and a one-size-fits all approach that is taken by many lesser experienced injectors just does not work. The current trend in Botox treatments is to avoid the complete muscle paralysis that leads to the “frozen” look. Skilled injectors will be able to give you more natural results by reducing your wrinkles, but still allowing natural muscle movement and expressions. Certain areas are also more difficult to treat than others. These include the eyebrows (brow lift), bunny lines, vertical lip lines (smoker’s lines), corners of mouth (downturned smile), gummy smile, and neck bands. If not done by an advanced injector the risk of complications in these areas are higher than average.

Giving the wrong amount of Botox will also result in having an unhappy client. Cheap Botox often means cheap quality and cheap service. For Botox to work effectively it must be diluted with saline solution in a very specific way. Places which offer cheap Botox are likely diluting the product too much. This allows them to use the product on more patients. Botox that has been diluted too much may still work, but since the effect is weaker it will last for a much shorter period of time. Not only does Dr. Zadeh perform all of our Botox injections himself, he also mixes the product himself. This guarantees that there is no overdilution of the Botox and provides you with a maximum cosmetic result.

Remember, you get what you pay for, and when it comes to your face you deserve the best! Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse any Botox complications. They will last until the Botox wears off in 3-4 months. So, make sure you choose your Botox injector carefully!
